Healing with Nature

Hawthorn and Courage

This year, the first hawthorn bloomed in early April and I was hit by the sweet fragrance, just as we walked out of the woods.  I had to look around to find it, peaking out from beneath the budding oaks and a cloak of brambles.  Within a couple of weeks, every hidden trail and sunny glade was lined with flowering hawthorn, where there had never been any previously.  It was as if they sprang out of nowhere. By mid-May, some were still in flower. I felt an immense relief in their presence.  The wild lands are the mirror to the heart-self, the path of courage.

The Earth has shifted, upgraded, freed herself from the carapace of the alien mind and its matrix structures – however you want to describe it.  Nature feels this. The garden is more abundant than ever.  The tranquility is rich.  The land can breathe again and the birds and animals are relaxed, curious, coming closer.  As I see it, this (final?) phase of transformation took place between the lunar eclipse of September 2024 and the full moon of July 2025.

The four key events that I observed during this phase were:

  • the opening of the ‘heart portal’ in the fourth ventricle,
  • the dissolution of the mental body,
  • the opening of the ‘infinity switch’
  • and the shifting of the line of intent from the head to the heart.

The heart portal is delicate, it opens and closes like a butterfly’s wings in response to threats beyond our ordinary awareness.  This used to happen mostly in dreams.  Tulku and Izzy alerted me to this. I took hawthorn tincture for a year or so, to help me stabilise my emotional responses to the new rhythm of my heart and to withstand the intensity of death, rebirth and a leap into the unknown.

I discovered that the regenerative powers enter our reality through the heart portal, but we kept it closed because we could not discern the difference between the regenerative powers and the destructive ones.  Palpitations could be either, banging on the door.  The intermediary zones immediately beyond the portal have been cleared and the portal began to stabilise in most people around the end of June.  Other events have boosted this stability, although I find that hawthorn tincture can still be useful when the energies and my emotional responses to them become too intense.

I observed the dissolution of the mental body around the time of the Summer Solstice 2025, although it actually occurred in January.  The mental body was the energetic projection of the false self, or ego, that we created in order to survive in the artificial matrix and projected into our biofield.  It was based on ideas and beliefs that were programmed into us at birth and through many lifetimes. Many of these ideas and beliefs and the collective agreements we made in accordance with them, were not in resonance with our heart-self.  These have all fallen away with the dissolution of the mental body – acting them out is now from memory only.  (Remedied through rehydration.)

My observation of the dissolution of the mental body coincided with s feeling of immense pressure in the inner waters, coinciding with the failure of the pressure switch on our deep well, seiches on Lake Superior and Lake Huron and unusual weather patterns and storms, that were also manipulated.

Nunki revealed the heart portal and got very sick during this time.  He had a wound on his chest over his heart that would not heal, causing a terrible infection in his head and nose, so that he could not eat.  We had to take him to the vet for two days, so he could be put on a drip to rehydration and to clear the infection.  He is recovering well, but still working to balance his microbes.  We are watching him closely and don’t want to put him on antibiotics again, as Nature is learning how to help other cats through him.  I am quietly confident that the ‘new conditions’ will allow him to do this.

On the 6th July, I discovered the ‘infinity switch’ in the throat.  I’ve been looking for this for many years, knowing that the lemniscate movement of the Sun is mirrored in our bodies. This ‘infinity wave’ was cut in half by many ‘spiritual teachings’ to make a circle, and this kept us stuck in the cycle of reincarnation.  The infinity switch allows the movement of energy between the finite and infinite, the physical and non-physical worlds that is necessary for the clearing and transmuting of stuck energies and regeneration. I felt the lightness of breath and energy moving down into my heart.  I am still clearing in my head and throat and wild cherry is the support I need at this time.

In the days leading up to the full moon on July 10th 2025, Nunki sat in the Nunki portal. I lost all the ability to hold any intention.  The full moon passed through the Archer, and the Nunki star. The day after the full moon, I real-eysed that the ‘line of intent’ has moved from the head to the heart.  The default position, where the energy is in terms of co-creating reality, is through heart-felt desire, rather than how we think things should be.  It is now very easy to see how beliefs cause people to make choices and take actions that shape reality according to those beliefs, but that there is no power at all in the beliefs themselves.

The surge of energy into our heart spaces is generating collective shockwaves around the world.  As we are the intentional, free will element of the Earth I see this energy as part of what generates earthquakes in vulnerable locations and heart failure for those whose hearts are too damaged to hold the charge.  For almost everyone else, after our bodies stabilised, the levels of stress hormones went down considerably.  We are experiencing a true sense of inner peace that is mirrored in Nature.  We cannot heal when our bodies are running on adrenaline and the sudden drop in adrenaline has allowed for another healing and detoxification surge.  Free from the constraints of the false self, the brain now registers the pain signals from the body and we see ourselves as we really are and with this comes the feeling that ‘something is wrong’. Hawthorn can support us through this transition.

When I need confirmation on the use of specific herbal remedies, I refer to The Earthwise Herbal by Mathew Wood and The Energetics of Western Herbs by Peter Holmes.  They have all the information you could want on the use of hawthorn as a heart tonic, to lower blood pressure, reduce tension and improve the circulatory system.

Mathew Wood goes into some detail on the effect of hawthorn on the capillaries:

“If the meaty parts of the palm, especially near the writ, are red this indicates capillary congestion of the red blood cells.  If these fatty tissues are depressed with a finger and this is followed by blanching (the area stays white for a few seconds) then the indication is that there is heat and irritation in the capillaries with friction between the walls of the vessels and the red blood cells, so that the latter cannot flow through as quickly.  This is a keynote indication for hawthorn.  (If this condition occurs but the skin colour is yellow, this is an indication for wild cherry bark.)”

Peter Holmes tunes into the feminine attributes of hawthorn, that I see as related to the heart rhythm coming into synchrony with the new Earth energies:

“It is no mere accident that Hawthorn berry was a neglected wise woman’s remedy.  As a prime emblem of the beauty and harmony-loving rose family.  Hawthorn is  a feminine type of plant.  Besides, physiologically it tonifies the Yin.”

I find that an irregular cough, usually occurring when you lie down to sleep or when a new observation, thought or feeling reaches you, is a reaction to the heart releasing tension.  Hawthorn or wild cherry are useful supports, as indicated.

Out in the wild, a key element of hawthorns healing power is in the fragrance of its flowers. The newly opened flowers release amygdalin, which is reminiscent of almonds and attracts bees.  Amygdalin has a bitter flavour, that has fallen out of favour, yet is necessary to balance the microbiome, so that hyped-up sugar-fed microbes don’t go into over-drive – the cause of so many so-called cancers. The cloying smell of the decaying flowers is due to the trimethylamine that the plant produces to attract other pollinators. Trimethylamine is also produced by decaying flesh, which is part of hawthorn’s association with death and why it is recognised as a ‘portal tree.’ The heart portal leads to the world beyond.  The soul passes through this portal on the death of the body, to continue its journey of regeneration.

The shifting of the line of intent from the head to the heart is significant.  It means that we are now co-creating our experience according to our heart-felt desires, what is truly important to us.  This is truly empowering, exciting, confusing, often exhausting and their is grief.  The dissolution of the mental body is something like a collective ‘shamanic death,’ that affects us all. whether we are conscious of it or not.  It means that we see through our heart centres, as we really are, with our real eyes…another shockwave.  From this heart-felt perspective, all of reality, including the motivations and intentions of others become obvious and our next steps clear.

The path of the heart is the path of courage.  It is reality dancing through each of us, to the rhythm our own hearts, co-creating our unique pathway and sometimes we have to walk alone.  Yet, the Nature Spirits are always with us and hawthorn reminds us of that.

A fresh hawthorn flower infusion, sweetened with xylitol.  Relaxing, without making us sleepy.  It is a beautiful pale green colour when made with fresh flowers.
