Earth’s Mirror

Scrying the Mind of the Earth

The night sky is the Earth’s mirror. The infinite, eternal, ever-changing, always present reflection of the what is playing out in the mind of the Earth. In our ordinary perception, we see the stars and planets as points of light, far away in space and time. With a heart-centred meditative awareness and the certain knowledge that you are also part of the Earth, it’s very easy to lose the sense of separation and real-eyes that you are also part of this cosmic dream.

The cruciform plate in the skull is our internal scrying mirror. When you tip your head to the angle you need to see the sky, it forms a dynamic plane that extends from the brain stem to the stars on which we perceive electrical signals beyond our normal range of vision and free of cultural inferences. These signals are picked up by the pineal gland and projected outwards through the visual cortex. Our ancestors knew this and were able to read the signs. The mysterious scrying mirrors of John Dee and the Mesoamericans, were accoutrements, gimmicks that made their skills acceptable, and therefore believable, to others.

The Earth has tilted her own mirroring attention so that the signals she is now sending are highly individualized and cannot be used to create centralized structures for power and control over others. So the high priests of the old system have already been cast aside as they can no longer project parasitic entities into our reality. They are being replaced by CGI, which only works in very limited circumstances. Meanwhile, we all get to play with our own scrying mirrors.

The discovery process is a bit like learning to drive, lots to think about and coordinate initially, until it all comes together seamlessly. You have to ‘tune in’ by looking at the real night sky for a while, to get the feel of being in the mind of the Earth. This isn’t something that anyone can prove to you. You either feel the urge to experiment until you have satisfied yourself that it is real and not an illusion, or not. If you do it, and you are lucky enough to be somewhere with minimal light pollution, there will come a moment when you feel off-balance, as though the Earth has been pulled from under your feet. That’s how you know that you have tuned in. Once you’ve had that experience, you can also ‘read the signs’ via digital applications such as Stellarium or Sky Safari. This has the added benefit of claiming sovereignty over the digital world by bringing it into alignment with the mind of the Earth.

Reading the signs, in this sense, has nothing to do with astrology or the zodiac. Astrology is a man-made system that works in the same way a clock works; a circle divided into twelve equal portions to measure an interval of movement between the Earth and the Sun, or other stars. We call that interval ‘time’, and we live by it, but we don’t have to. It works, but it also causes us to limit ourselves in ways that are not determined by Nature. At some point in her mind, the Earth saw the constellations swimming around her midriff, in a way that enabled her to plot her own journey through the celestial waters. This activity generated the nodal point that we call Saturn, with its sphere and disc shape, that enabled humans to create the clock and all manner of dials and regulators.

A clock always winds down time, it never gives you more. So Saturn was seen as Cronus eating his offspring, as we made ourselves and our children slaves to time. But is this how the Earth imagines Saturn in her own dreaming? It doesn’t look like that to me. Saturn has been moving downwards across the constellation of the SeaGoat from nose to tail, since he met there with Jupiter on the winter solstice of 2020. My learning during this period has moved from lofty ideas about Nature, through revelations on the sense of smell, to focus on the nuts and bolts, the fundamentals of our lives. Another kind of winding down, that will continue through until April of next year.

The planets are working as ‘indicators’ of themes and functions that the Earth is playing out into reality, based on the connections she makes between them and her celestial family in the stars and each one of us, according to our location in her body. This makes for a dynamic setup, both personal and transpersonal and immune to corruption. Although we may make similar observations, our locations and perceptions are unique, even more so given the fact that our individual biochemistry in any moment impacts our perception. The more awareness you have of these ‘workings’ the more you can play.

The access point for each of us is indicated by the position of Mercury in your birth chart. Not your astrological natal chart, with signs and houses, but where he was positioned in the mind of the Earth at the place and time of your birth. (You can find this out on Stellarium or Sky Safari.) Mercury is the indicator of where energy is being transduced from one form into another – so he is seen to orbit the Sun as the Sun generates enormous energy that is transduced by the Earth into the frequencies she can use to support life. The ‘black space’ between the Earth and the Sun is neither vacuum nor ether, but the mirror of the Earth’s mind.

Mercurial powers always relate to the transfer of knowledge relating to transitions, although these themes have manifested in different ways through many different cultures. For example, Anubis and the transition from embodiment to a different arrangement, Thoth and the power of language, turning sounds and symbols into meaning. The Roman Mercury oversaw the development of commerce, how activity is turned into another god we call Money.

At its core, the Mercurial power is associated with energy transduction, the conversion of one form of energy into another. This theme is playing out at many levels on the planet right now, from our transition from cellular to water-based biology, to the transition from fossil fuels to something else, yet to be determined (not by Elon Musk) and everything in between, including money. The position of Mercury in your birth chart, in relation to other planets and constellations, indicates where the Earth has placed you for direct knowledge transfer at this time of transition.

The other planets indicate different functions. Venus, is the dream-body of the Earth, how she sees herself in her dream and how she reveals herself to us. Venus has a distinct orbital pattern relative to the Earth, generating a perfect rose and heart pattern, that appears to have only been discovered in about 1980. The sheer beauty and geometric perfection of her dance is underpinned by mind-blowing mathematical precision, as she ‘meets’ with other planets and weaves new ideas and themes into the conscious mind of the Earth. We ‘hook onto’ these streams of consciousness, I call them dream-streams, as they relate to our individual ‘missions’ and locations on the planet. The position of Venus, in the crown of the Virgin at the equinox, indicated that the copper processes are now being activated.

Mars shows what the Earth is in relation to her ‘iron’ processes. So far, she has endured massive exploitation, through farming, mining, industry and endless war. The iron processes are beginning to be balanced out by copper and the iron processes are moving into a more supportive role, in navigation, purification and biological regeneration.

Jupiter shows the space of expansion, where ideas are turned into ‘gold’. The Earth has been revealing that she is actively tempering this energy, since the Grand Conjunction of the Winter Solstice of 2020 with Saturn and this year with Neptune in the celestial waters. Neptune shows what she is dissolving – a fractal dissolution that ripples through existence. Forgetfulness? Not necessarily dementia, but a dissolution of a specific polarisation that held a memory in mind.

Polarisation itself is the domain of Uranus – something of a non-binary node that shows up when and where polarities are switched. This ‘switching’ can be a direct swap, in which positive becomes negative and vice versa, or a complete exchange of one set of polarities for another. Both switch and swap happened at the lunar eclipse earlier this month, 8th November, which took place in conjunction with Uranus. A geomagnetic polarity switch deleted the energetic patterns that held certain parasitic entities in place and the primary operational polarity focus has shifted from male and female to mind and heart. This doesn’t mean that gender disappears or is unimportant, but that for this stage of the transition the Earth is generating themes relating to heart and mind equally through both men and women.

Lastly, Pluto. The discovery of Pluto in the 1930s corresponds with the depth psychology work of Freud, Jung and others into what has become known as the collective unconscious, the archetypal realm of human interaction with the Nature Powers. The appearance of Pluto in the Earth’s mirror is a relatively modern indication of Earth human interaction, comparable to the appearance of the constellation of the Scales. This allows her to show us the great themes of human experience that are being reworked, and where, through you.
