Abandoned Galicia
December 13, 2022
This is about about an hour north of where we live, but it could be the next village. Much of rural Spain, as much as 70%, is abandoned and the people have moved to the cities, mostly for jobs and money. The old family homes and farms are mostly rubble now, although sometimes there is some one still living among the ruins.
We are well into the final stage of depopulation here, as almost everyone around here has taken the poison, I would like to see young people move back. All it takes is the willingness to put life force, Nature and the spirit of adventure in its proper place, above money and Galicia will show the way.
